Scottish diaspora tapestry
Martin and I popped into Musselburgh museum this morning, which had a tenth anniversary exhibition of the Scottish Diaspora Tapestry, which was most interesting.
The tapestry is made up of more than 310 such panels. They were stitched all around the world, and tell stories of Scottish migration, international influence, and cultural exchange.
The stories come from thirty-five countries and cover hundreds of years of history.
Together these panels provide a fascinating insight into Scotland's global legacy, and the power historical connections still exert today.
We really enjoyed looking at these beautifully embroidered panels.
Off for lunch now to the local Brewers Fayre, have a good day all,
