Downy wood pecker

Today was a bright sunny day it was cooler than it has been over the past few weeks but it was a nice change. I got out for my walk after work and spotted the downy wood pecker climbing a tree, I tried to offer peanuts but he was not interested. I have only gotten a wodpecker on my hand a couple of times but I likely would have a better chance in the winter.
