Swims, Ukes and Melons

And we're back ... properly.

A lot of the day was spent on the Big Tidy. One of the problems with coming back from a tidy (but basic) holiday flat to our house full of stuff is that ... I hate stuff ... so I wanted to clear the place out a bit.

So I tidied ... it makes me happy. Mainly sorting out paper work but it has to be done.

Not tiding all day ... late afternoon I went for a river swim with the kids and Kevin and his kids. Tired Diane went for a lie down.

The river was good but Brodie didn't like the coldness of the water and the horse flies ... neither did I or Sam. But reminded me that I'm lucky to live here.

That evening there was a Uke group meeting, I did take my camera and could have taken a photo of that but spotted this on route on the pavement in front of me.

There is a shop across the road selling melons so possibly this was stolen and dropped during a chase or dropped following purchase. Annoying for the owner either way.

Reminded me of an old art video by the artist Roddy Bucanan called SODASTREAM, Which I kind of helped on 10 million years ago.
