Ancient Ewe

We are on holiday staying near Winchester with a dear friend Jane. We went for a lovely walk and picnic in Whiteley Woods in the New Forest. We saw many ancient trees , but none as old as this ewe tree in the graveyard of St John The Baptist in Itchen Abbas. It is reported to be a thousand years old !! We enjoyed our supper in The Plough. I are a goats cheese , courgette tart with lots of salad. The temperatures are set to soar over the next few days . We head to London tomorrow.
