Catching the light at breakfast time.

I am having breakfast outside in the garden once more this morning. Stephen was up and out early as he was meeting a friend at 9.00am.
I’m sitting at the patio table with a gentle breeze waiting around me in warm sunshine. The lavender is coming into flower and not a sign of any bees. It’s usually full of them. I’ve heard two buzzing past me but that is all.
I am so enjoying the light catching the roses and plants.
The Californian poppies are lifting their faces to the sun along with the geums.
I’m wearing my sunhat.
The box hedge survived my cutting and spraying from a few months back and is giving out that unmistakable scent, which happens on very warm days.
We are going to see Bobbie this afternoon.
