Sunlit fog bank

Left home before the sun rose and got to Auckland City Hospital as the sunlight was increasing.The fog (not as thick over the harbour as what I had to drive through) was modifying the effect of the rising sun on the sky above and behind Rangitoto.

I took the photo which is my blip for todayfrom the side of the road which is busy with construction workers' vehicles. I'm glad that I did, as the few minutes getting to the Unit and then out onto the balcony, were enough to decrease the majesty of this scene.
