Dog Days and Life

Don't Speak With Yer Mouth Full...

'Mini Beast' grows by the day......always something in her mouth...tonight a sour tiny apple...not entirely she was enjoying it but she carried on anyway.

Another scorcher today. Full day at work again. Out and about early and managed to miss most of the heat. Interviews on Monday. Must remember when I get up at some ungodly hour....I forgot to take Cedar the other week....Monday again....must set myself an alarm.

Nice evening sharing a drink with a friend tonight.

It's good to have friends.

I often wonder about people who don't really have any friends.....they fall into different catagories I suppose.

There's the person with one friend, who perhaps has a purpose/use who they go out with sometimes because they have no one else to go out with, or they're at a loose end...or maybe to keep them sweet for the use of their useful qualities....not much of a good word to say to other people about them.

There's those who change their sets of friends based upon who they are with at the time, where they are and again those with something to offer.

Why do they not have friends? Do they struggle to give anything of themselves away due to deep seated issues within themselves? Are they takers and not givers....fundamentally selfish people who number one is the main priority? Or do people see that selfish/unpleasant side to them, see them too weak to give anything of themselves and not gravitate towards them?

Who would these people turn to if everything they knew fell apart and all the material possessions that they hold so dear where no longer there?

Good friends are those who would give you the shirt off your back even if they themselves have nothing.

Friends are an investment. I have invested wisely.

'Friendship is two-sided. It isn't a friend just because someone's doing something nice for you. That's a nice person. There's friendship when you do for each other. It's like marriage - it's two-sided'.
