Reliquary

The wondrous Monymusk Reliquary from a poster outside Grantown Museum. The tiny,  intricately decorated reliquary dates from the 8th centuries and is said to have contained some remains of St Columba. Unsubstantiated tradition claims that it was carried at the head of Scots armies as they went into battle.
