Dragonfly exuvia

Some of these were found when we were clearing out the pond at Myddleton gardens today.  Its not the best of photos but I dont think I've ever seen one before so it has to be my blip. Its what's left behind when the young dragonfly emerges from its larval form. We were surprised at how golden and metallic they seemed.
