The Lizard

We made an early(ish) start and headed across to the Lizard Penisula and straight down to Lizard Point where the Old Lifeboat Station remains in its derelict glory. This boathouse was built in 1914 and closed in 1961. 

We went on to Kynance Cove which is very pretty with postcard views of Asparagus Island with beautiful turquoise waters. Next was Mullion Cove and the gorgeous little net loft. On any other day this would have been my main blip and there was another composition I would have loved to get with a tidy fishing boat in the harbour below it. Unfortunately there was a school trip with a load of children sitting at that side of the harbour which somewhat spoiled the composition. Ah well, that's why the perfect photo is so hard to get!
