Just before midday we were in Monknash (Vale of Glamorgan Heritage Coast) nr Cowbridge, (South Wales, UK) to do one of our favourite walks. It was only when we had walked from the village to Monknash Beach we saw the tide was coming in, so the beach walk was thwarted, but the clifftop walk is a lovely alternative.

This week's W-I-D-E on Wednesday Challenge theme is 'skyscape' and the one I took that fits the theme and I like best is of a gull with the Bristol Channel as a backdrop.

We had a cuppa at the clifftop cafe but it's not as good as it was now the water is from a boiler as opposed to boiling from a kettle, and the china mugs are now replaced with paper cups and the price up a lot, too! We had a hot brew when we got back to the car from our camping stove!
