Chamonix

Day trip to Chamonix during our Alps holiday. The boys went up the Aiguille du Midi and said it was amazing.  Not for me though - I'm claustrophobic and didn't fancy being stuffed like a sardine into the cable car, and I'm also not good with heights! Instead, I enjoyed a wander around the town and watched the world go by with an ice-cream, and later - as I waited at the cable car station for the boys - I couldn't help but eavesdrop on conversations of several climbers from all around the world who'd just descended and were hugely animated and proud of their achievements.
