Big Blue Sky

Oh what a beautiful morning, so the bed was soon stripped, washed and out on the line.
Looked up and saw the beautiful sky above the neighbouring chimney pots.

After washing the floors l went down main street to the Waste Not shop : jumbo oats, dried cranberries, bulgar wheat and pumpkin seeds, take my own paper bags and weigh out just what l need.

Saw an elderly gentleman with a stick helping another man to stand on his feet. Went to help and we managed to steady the man who was quite big set. We managed to phone the elderly gentleman’s wife and she came with a chair which we sat the man down on. Heard his story, he was an alcoholic on the way to buy more drink. He pleaded with us not to call an ambulance as he said he has been in hospital twice this week. We found out where he lived and the lady and l helped him home, it was only a few hundred yards away.
We got him home and the door was unlocked so we took him inside and got him sat down. His home was clean and tidy and so was he.
I noticed his medication in a docket box and saw he hadn’t taken today’s dose so l got him a drink of water and told him to take his meds. He did and we left him to have a sleep. He was a very polite but distressed person. His home was really well cared for and it looked like he took care of himself. Alcoholism is such a cruel illness.

Going out tonight to watch a live screening at Ilkley Cinema with my friends.
I never saw Riverdance  for one reason or another so l am very much looking forward to it.
