Friends reunited

Another successful day. We were out of our gorgeous little apartment early and got to Calais in good time...it's such a huge operation there! Must be a nightmare sorting the logistics of it all. 
The crossing was fine, plus we had the extra loveliness of stopping in at James and Rich's who live 15 minutes from the Port! Sooo gorgeous to see them briefly and see their home. 
4 hours of driving later, and we arrived at Mom and Dad's...the kids are so so excited!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Danny's driving - what an epic journey!
2) Seeing James and Rich - we love this pair immensely! A great way to start the trip. We'll stay at theirs for a couple of days on our journey home.
3) The lovely welcome and delicious tea waiting for us at mom and dad's.
