Forty years Old Lady

At the informal museum meeting today there was a talk with video about a trip on this forty year old tandem - a Dawes Galaxy. Lovingly looked after by Mandy who is very visually impaired. With Phil on the front  they  took part in the London to Brighton cycle ride- the equivalent of Genevieve compared with all the modern machines. Judging by the videos they obviously careered along at high speed overtaking everyone, especially up hill. 
Next challenge is cycling to Paris, arriving in time for the Olympics, in two weeks time.All in aid of our local hospice. The photograph was  taken in the beautifully appointed Torquay Museum bike sheds
