9.30pm. SUNSET !

Well at least the remains of it. The day was mostly dry, though we had a couple of heavy showers this morning.
Apart from a bit of tidying & vacuuming , the day has been of reflection. Very sad news. re friend M her cancer has spread to the liver & very poor prognosis.
In the past 34years we have had some wonderful holidays & weekend breaks together. The most unforgettable one was to Alaska 1997, wow didn’t think it had been that long ago, time just flies by. We started off by visiting her auntie & cousins in Vancouver then over to Vancouver Island where we had a one night stay, seeing a brown bear by the dustbins as we walked at night! Just a tad scary? In the morning we journeyed by bus to the other end of the Island & then boarded a boat taking us along the back passage resume our holiday to Alaska. Our one “ must visit “ was Dawson City , a great place to visit ( a not to miss) if you are in that area. We just had go to the Night Club called Diamond Tooth Gertie. Fabulous name. It was very expensive but we played BlackJack ( on the machines) me being protective of our winnings meant the whole night cost us2 dollars we. We’re every chuffed with that,
We paned for gold , & I got a very small nugget, woo , no didn’t make me rich just gave me something to remember.
Yes M & I have had such a lot of good times including many garden weekends in the UK and Holland. We have played many games of Canasta & card games , lots of laughs & delicious meals together including shows &Glynde Bourne operas . So both a sad day but also a reflection on the good things in life that we have done. There was only 1 year between M’s & my husbands death so we were very close, sharing lots of fun as well as sadness’s. I remember New Year’ s Eve at KJD& The Rev’s fancy dress when M & I went as Hinge & Bracket & Mrs Bouquet . So great memories .
So tomorrow is another day.

HOPE TUESDAY HAS BEEN GOOD FOR YOU
