Spectacular failure

This is the front of our local dairy (corner shop). In the early morning hours a stolen car was used in a ram raid attempt on the business. The prospective thieves drove the car through a narrow gap between pillars outside (see for eg extra) and plunged the car right into the shop. Apparently they then found themselves unable to open the car doors, as they locked automatically!. So instead of helping themselves to things in the shop they had to scramble out the windows of the car and over the car roof to escape before the police arrived. 
I understand that they have not yet been apprehended, and they certainly did damage to the shop and its fittings, but on the positive side, trade has been increased significantly as locals support the owners. The story made the national news as one involving very incompetent law breakers....
