Happy Moments

Live and Learn

I was having great fun last night watching some YouTube videos about camera settings. Shooting on full manual etc (rather than aperture or shutter speed modes).
Had a little play, as you do. Then I got tired and went to bed.

This evening, having decided I would take the dogs down to the valley gardens for their evening walk, I grabbed the camera, feeling all smug as I’d changed the battery over before I went, knowing it was getting low last night.

Off I went, got maybe 6 different wildflowers that I’d not seen before. Although I did think the camera sounded different to usual. Got home and transferred the pictures. Blast, all of them completely useless. Found out I’d left it on shutter mode last night and of course when I’ve got the dogs even the slightest movement from them - both leads in one hand - means the other hand has to be pretty steady. Which it was not it seems.

There we go, lesson learnt. A garden flower instead. A potentilla.
