Odd

It might be hard to tell, but that bright circle at the edge of the deer's right ear is a HOLE! It kind of looks like it might be a leaf or something, but it wasn't - it was a very definite hole. Shot?

The deer was spotted as we were about to emerge from the woods to get on our path along the edge of the hayfield. It was with a young buck that had new antlers emerging. It was close enough to take this shot with my phone.

Literally the only photo I took today. It's another scorcher.
