Sacrifice

Today is Eid-al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice. This day holds significance for Muslims, commemorating the willingness of the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God's command.

Public holidays tied to the Islamic calendar depend on the position of the moon and this rarely gives enough advance notice for the work calendar to be clear. Today was a case in point, but at least I could tackle work at a more relaxed pace and intersperse dealing with some documents with some lounging on the sofa.
