Why?!

Another blip with the title of ‘Why’. My brother N and I are in St Albans this week, sorting out our late-stepmother’s house.

Unfortunately for us my father and stepmother were championship hoarders. Amongst today’s highlights are a set of London Postal Area phone books from 1978 (plus many more phone books from subsequent years), a Scottish holiday travel brochure from 1988 and hundreds of empty window envelopes.

However, I think the items featured in my blip take today’s prize, a completely unusable Collins Gem English Dictionary, almost completely rotted away and a Television Servicing manual for Beginners from 1956.
