Axe man

We went into Woodbridge this morning to see the progress on the Anglo-Saxon ship. It is an exact replica of the boat in the grave at Sutton Hoo and made using the same tools and methods that they would have used.
Last time we visited they were hoping to have it on the water this autumn but they are having difficulty getting enough large oak trees so it’s likely to be next year. You can see where they are up to now in the extra 
After that we walked along the promenade and back then went and did a bit of shopping.
Came back to the caravan and packed things away then went to Sutton Hoo to have another look at the exhibition, the artefacts are amazing.
They have got a video running showing where some of the things came from, the eastern Mediterranean and as far as Sri Lanka 
Back again to the caravan for the rest of the day
The rally has finished and everyone except one has left and they have moved onto the site we are on
Lovely and sunny this morning but a few showers this afternoon fairly warm
