It does happen!

Last November I reported the collapse of this bench to my local council. It was hazardous as sharp bits of metal like daggers were left protruding. Soon after it was removed and made safe. 

I didn't hold out much hope for a replacement but dropped a reminder email to the council to see if there was any likelihood. You see it's positioned in a handy spot to provide some respite on my local walks. Anyway much to my surprise it has now been replaced with this stout (plastic) version. Very comfy and not as soggy when it rains as the previous wooden one. All in all, well worth the eight month wait.

It's the little pleasures in life that give the most satisfaction ;-)
