Scottish Thistle

I know you have thistles elsewhere, but the thistle for hundreds of years has been one of the symbols of Scottish grit and determination along with the lion, the unicorn, and believe it or not, the spider. The message is: Wha daur meddle wi’ me, which loosely tranlates as “if you continue to stand on my foot, I will have to punch you on the nose.”
Today I have been attempting to select some photos for a possible Clachnaharry calendar.
