Rose hips

Its time to prune the roses.  I wouldn't usually do it until early August but am having a replacement hip surgery in 4 weeks so am trying to get the winter garden jobs done before then.  And, I don't want a scratch, wound or infection just before I go in for my surgery just in case they wont do it. If any thing happens while working with the roses I should have time to heal. 
Fingers crossed I stay free of Covid as well.
