Darley Abbey Mills
On Wednesday I blipped an old derelict mill on a section of Derwent Valley Mills Heritage Site.
Today my blip is of Darley Abbey Mills, they are in a much better state as they have found a modern use as a collection of small business units and one of Derby's best restaurant. The historic mill buildings date back to the late 1700's. The mills have a unique atmosphere and combine the heritage of the past with the modernity required today and so look to have a much better prospect of being preserved. The buildings are Listed and range from Grade 1 to Grade II, they are a key part of the Derwent Valley Mills Heritage Site
