Since 1946….
Up sharp to travel to IKEA car park near Edinburgh and the rendezvous with 80 Explorer scouts. I was acting as an ‘escort’ on a bus for the 2.5 hour journey to the Blair Atholl Jamborette.
An uneventful trip up the M90/A9 saw us arrive in good time and in ideal weather for an easy decant of excited teenagers and their carefully curated kit. Many thousands of man/woman hours have gone into preparing them to have a great time.
I hung about chatting to our District Commissioner and the Regional Commissioner to fill the time before we got a lift back to IKEA to collect our vehicles.
On route home to the borders, Nancy messaged to say the roofers had turned up and started work. What a surprise!!
