Rain on St Swithin’s Day

I went to knitting group this morning and it was raining when I left. I arranged to meet my daughter for lunch and got rather wet making my way to our meeting place. It’s St Swithin’s Day and looks like we will have rain for 40 days snd 40 nights!! Oh dear. More rain forecast all night.
We went to Aldi after lunch and I bought myself a lovely bunch of flowers.
When is summer going to start.
