A New Perspective

First time back at Tynecastle for the start of the new season and as is usual the first game is usually against a 'smaller' club/team, this time against Leyton Orient with whom Hearts have a common link going back to WWI and the formation of the ‘Pals Battalions’. Thank goodness I’m only the main stand once a season, it is a nightmare to get out of in comparison to the Wheatfield stand opposite.
As to the game I reckon most of the new signings were given a run out and if anyone mentioned tactics and formation it went in one set of ears then clear through and out the other side. Luckily it was only a fiver, the best bit of the day was catching up with pals in the Diggers for a wee refreshment after.
The extra is an addition to the war memorial at Haymarket with more quotes and graphics. I was a bit late for the Maroon Mile march from Haymarket to Tynie as part of the clubs 150 year celebrations but I’m sure there will be others.
