Sunny morning

At last, some respite from the rain...
I took advantage of a warm, sunny morning to spend some time at a small nature reserve between Sheffield and Rotherham. It's on the site of a former steelworks and is managed by the local Wildlife Trust. Info here:

I've seen sparrowhawks hunting here in the past, though not today. Today, the dragonflies and damselflies were the big attraction.
With busy roads and railways nearby, along with clattering and banging from factories, it's a real oasis in the city's East end.
