Day 2 Dordogne

Day 2: We arrived in Bordeaux at 7 am. 25 cyclists got off the Bike Express in Bordeaux. We were all heading off in different directions. Some like us were away for 2 weeks, others were cycling leisurely taking 3 weeks another pair were away for 5 weeks on a tandem. By the time we sorted out the bikes and loaded it was 8 am and we set off.
Having bought lunch at a Boulangier we stopped and had a picnic beside a river where there were benches. Above us were flying 2 Black Kites. Set off up 2 long hill climbs one 1000 m and the other 15000 m. They were followed by downhills but not having had a lot of sleep on the bus we were glad to arrive at a campsite at St. Aulaye. Glad too that the campsite had a restaurant. This tent is home for the next 2 weeks.
We were having our meal when we saw 2 Hoopoes fly down to the next emplacement to ours. Beautiful birds. 82 Km
