A little roughhousing

It was a warm but lovely Twinsday, with the whole family there for once.  When I arrived, Levi was in the little wading pool, surrounded by loving grown-ups.  In the short space of time we were outside, the twins "learned about ferns" with Doug and Max invited Lex to "study plants" with him, taking her along to a part of the terrace where herbs grow.  It's so good to see how much the boys love her.

Later, inside, the twins spent some time crawling on top of Andrew resting on the sofa, and I got a number of funny shots.  The main photo is the best of them.  Levi just walked all around the main floor, circling through the living room, kitchen and hallway repeatedly.  Now that he's walking, he just doesn't stop.

I was able to read three books to the twins and we discussed such things as why a pig can't walk upstairs (he has no knees, I told them) and a bunch of other why questions.  Max held my arm and put his head on my shoulder.
