WOW! SHAZAM! WHATIZIT?

It's Motorhead Sunday and today's specimen is a real beauty......a 1915 Stutz Bearcat!

It's The WeatherTech International Challenge race weekend at Road America.  One of the side exhibits, in addition to some fantastic vintage racing, was a visit by the Ragtime Racers...learn all about them here:  https://www.ragtimeracers.com/    A really fascinating collection of rare old cars that are still exhibition racing.

I just drooled over this bad boy and realized that I'd have to go to school just to learn how to start it...much less drive it.  What a beauty.  Check the extras for some interesting information.

EXTRAS: I asked the man about tires. He said they were the easiest parts to get for this model...they are still made but I'll bet they aren't cheap.  Strange size.....compare those to what we use today.  Also, on the 4th extra, notice the lead windings around the spokes for balancing.  One thing not clear to me is this does not appear to be a 4 cylinder T-head motor.  Looking at the last Extra, it's obviously an 8 cylinder model.  Upgrade perhaps?  I am unaware "the man" was not around so I could ask.

BEST IN LARGE.
