First lily

This is the first of our lilies to flower. It is with a few brethren in the bed just outside Mummy hazelh's bedroom.

Today's forecast rain didn't appear so I managed to get quite a lot done in the garden in anticipation of a visit from Katharine and Jack this evening. They always like to inspect the grounds, especially since they donated so many plants to our garden during the big makeover in 2020/21. My efforts at weeding paid off when Katharine exclaimed 'But you have no weeds!'

Our visitors are here with Jon to watch England V Spain in the final of Euro 24. We prefaced the match with supper at Spikati. 

I'm hovering rather than watching the game myself. This is because I find it far too stressful to witness England play football. I am typing this at half time when the score is 0-0.
