Afternoon Tea
Poor arranging. . .
However, when he booked he did not know it would be the Men's Final at Wimbledon and that Granny would love to watch!
Eldest grandson (and girlfriend) gave both sets of grandparents a gift of an Afternoon Tea at a local venue for last Christmas. Due to either my or their vacations/work commitments we found today was the first suitable day.
Sadly yesterday the other grandma was taken ill and ended up in hospital. She insisted we go ahead as planned, so Adon's mum joined us for the tea with her father.
It was lovely to get together and hear about their plans for travelling come October and have a good catch up.
The sandwiches and scones were delicious; I couldn't manage any cakes so the kids took them back for later - or for their lunch boxes!
Also today Hamish (grandson number 2) ran the Croyde Tri again and won it for the second year running. His dad and my ex were supporting him and letting me know how he was doing.
Adon took a few extra sandwiches up to his grandma in hospital when we'd finished....
