What happened here?

I went for a walk along Periwinkle Lane just opposite our house this afternoon and was horrified to see that the lovely thick green bush, usually abuzz with birds, has been cut down. Who did this? the new neighbours, recently moved here, who want more of a sea view, the Municipality?? It looks a mess. I will definitely find out how this happened.
I was on coffee duty at Church this morning so left in the dark to get there early, Hubby stayed at home as it was too cold for him to go out. This afternoon we watched the tennis. A disappointingly short men's final, but Carlos is a fantastic player, and a worthy winner.
A video chat with Penni, and an earlier call with Kevin...it's always good to catch up with the kids.
Another busy week ahead, so an early night is called for.
