London

Got an early train to London today, it's so easy from Chris's and only an hour away. The train this morning took a bit longer as it had more stops. I had got a ticket for the RHS Botanical Art and Photography Show 2024. I am amazed at the botanical art and how detailed it is with watercolours, so beautiful. I've put one in the extras but the photo is not very good. The photography panels were beautiful and  deserving of the awards given. There were only 5 visitors there whilst I was looking at the exhibition.
I had a walk through Belgravia to the Oratory where a full sung Latin mass was in flow. I hadn't time to stay but lit a couple of candles and left.
I had booked a timed slot at the National Trust Fenton House and Garden. My aim each year is to visit at least one new property. It was lovely inside and the balcony open for the wonderful view. The garden was on 3 levels and so full of interest.
I had a walk to Hampstead village then caught the bus to Camden to walk along the canal to St Pancras and the train home. It was really busy along the canal and a screen showing Wimbledon which was full of people.
I caught an earlier train than planned as the heat and 6 miles I had walked were taking their toll. Another great trip to London.
