Blue Sky Bouquetin Morning …
… in the Martisberg valley beneath the Diablerets Hut. There were 14 of these magestic male bouquetins, and later, a herd of 12 adolescent males (3 in extra) trotted into the valley. Still no sign of the mothers and babies yet. It was strangely silent, no marmots calling, a few twittering small birds and I was deliciously alone. The hundreds of Saturday tourists had continued up to the top télécabine station for the views from Diablerets Glacier oblivious to the wonderful wildlife far below them. The edelweiss (extra) are starting to come out now too.
A quick swim in Lac Retaud before returning home to meet David and the guests who had gone to sail on Lake Geneva. We two ladies were watching the tennis of course, while the men napped for most of the match. Huge congratulations to Alcaraz, what a tennis genius! It’s going to be a long sporting night! Enjoy.
Just saw all your comments and gifts on yesterday’s photo, thank you so much.
