Bright and Beautiful

Unexpected garden visitor

I glanced out of my upstairs office window to see what Charlie was up to - and saw the water moving around quite violently in the old washing up bowl I collect rrainwater water in.....

Came downstairs as I really couldn't believe it - and found this poor little frog or toad.  Having messaged Larchlea, we think this was a toad.

Anyway, I used the small trowel I have in the garden to give it a ladder to get up and out - and shortly it scuttled away between the raised bed that Charlie spends a lot of time in these days, and some upturned flowerpots :)  I hope it will be OK now.

For those that wonder, I also have a bird bath - the only birds that use it are pigeons, and two shallow bowls, plus two cat bowls of water outside so there is plenty for Charlie, wildlife and birds to share.....

In the extra is my pink Cistus, that is still flowering on, a few weeks after I thought it had finished :)

I had a dreadful night last night.  Not sure what caused it but my sinuses were awful and I was coughing like I haven't done in absolutely ages :(  Awake and unsettled from 2 til 5.30am, I eventually got up late, didn't go to church or anything much til quite late in the day.

Now I've just finished preparing the prayers for the prayer meeting this evening which finishes in nice time for the football in case people want to follow it.  I caught the service online, and apparently they're opening the youth 'Venue' for people to go and watch the football on the big screen at church this evening, which is great for those who want to see it!

I think I'll be indulging in another series of something or other, or watching repeats of something on TV myself :):)

I'm sure I can't be the only person who doesn't watch or want anything to do with the football - though I'll be quite happy if they win :)
