At the classic car show

Thank you for all the kind words, hearts and stars on my movement photo from last night, all much appreciated.

This afternoon I went to the classic car show in Ellesmere to provide background music.  There were ten of us, playing a variety of instruments.  We played for over an hour in a marquee on the site.

There were lots of old vehicles onsite.  The Penny Farthing bike, motorbile (blipped here) and the splitscreen Morris Minor car belong to my friend P who I play with in #Band 2. I used to have a MM convertable which was a lovely old car too. P is a very keen cyclist and yesterday rode his Penny Farthing from Shrewsbury to Ellesmere (about 20 miles). There is no comfortable seat or suspension on the bike and he apparently still has a very sore bottom from the ride!

The other cars in my blip are bubble cars.  F used to drive them, they were icons of the 1960s and he still loves them today.  He had to get a bigger car when children arrived but if he'd hung onto them, they would have  been worth a huge amount of money now.

I'm going to watch the Euros final between England and Spain tonight.  F is coming over for tea and we're watching it together.
