High up in a castle

This is the view from Jersey’s oldest defensive structure, Mont Orgueil castle at Gorey on the east coast. There are many rooms to explore up and down narrow stairways, and glorious views all round.

Bestie J got married here on horseback with a host of little bridesmaids (now all in their 20’s) and yours truly as matron of honour (trotting along beside the horse!). But today I realised how much extra is now inside the castle by way of exhibits and art installations, and storytelling. It was fascinating (examples in extras!). One not to miss for visitors and locals alike.
