T20 cricket at the Oval

This morning I did a dog walk by the river and then went on the bus to Marble Hill House with my friend who is staying. Marble Hill House is lovely to visit as it is quite small and the room guides are very knowledgeable without being ‘in your face’!

We watched the women’s tennis final on TV and then went on the train to Vauxhall and the Oval cricket ground to meet her brother and watch the women’s T20 cricket match between New Zealand and England. The sky looked ominous but luckily no rain and so many planes flying overhead en route to LHR. 
It NZ batted first and scored 103 in their 20 overs. England made a very brisk start with their batsmen getting 50 in 5 overs. It was then all over quite quickly..they scored 104 in 11 overs for the loss of only 3 wickets. It’s the first T20 game I’ve watched and in the evening…enjoyable but ...not sure I will be rushing back for another!
