Guy dreich

A bit of a damp day all round but we’d volunteered to nan the date at the local country show in Dalkeith park so we needed to get up and out. Which we did after a bigger than normal breakfast of bacon, egg and beans.

We took Phin for a tramp through the woods before heading into the show. Interesting if you’re into tractors and farming, less so if you’re not. Our shift was 2-4 but the visitors trickled off around 2.30 by which time we were offering half price entry as £12 an adult seemed pretty steep given the weather. We were given the nod to leave at 3 so had a quick wander round the bits we hadn’t seen earlier before heading home.

It’s been grey and drizzly on and off all day, hence my EB through the patio doors but I like to think I brought a little sunshine by making some Greek inspired chicken with diy Greek salad for dinner.
