Now, as I see it......

Wissington

There's nothing like a day at the seaside in July with the sun beating down, families enjoying the beach and children playing in the water.  And today was nothing like that.  We were determined to have a walk along the front at Sheringham but it could well have been a December day; light rain, a cold wind, large breakers coming in off the sea and hitting the rocks and covering the promenade with mist and spray.  If it had been December we'd have put warmer clothing on; we'd dressed knowing it might be chilly and damp but we could have done with something warmer.

Never mind; the forecast seems to think it will be better next week.  In the meantime, having parked at the station I was just in time to catch 'Wissington' leaving Sheringham for Holt with the Victorian set of coaches.  I couldn't see any passengers but it was fairly early, and the holidaymakers will need to find something to do later if they aren't on the beach!
