Rest day

I’m having to try and keep busy and not overthink everything, there are some really tough challenges that come along with the way that we live today. An anecdote that I keep repeating is that when we experienced the Covid pandemic, we were told to keep apart yet, towards the end we started to pull together. Communities formed and people started to feel less isolated because they were offered help from their friends and neighbours.
We need more of these times and we need to be more involved with the communities that we live within, not for our own personal gain but for the people who are not alone but feel alone or cast aside.
Today I visited several charities and started to donate my belongings from my past life to them. I met some lovely volunteers who were there helping, I was offered tea and biscuits and obviously my hat was admired by a few of the ladies of certain taste.
Refreshing to have emptied my car of the bin liners and boxes that my cousins had dumped into a container, the result of me having lived and cared for their mum for over five years without a single cross word or any difference of opinion whatsoever.
As a result of the process of getting rid of some of my past decided to go up and walk on the slopes of Dartmoor, Belstone to be more accurate, a peaceful place where wildlife abounds and the few people who have made the journey are there for the same reason. The old school tea room rewarded me with some wonderful conversation with likeminded people whilst enjoying my usual peppermint tea and a slice of not so usual Ginger fruit cake with clotted cream!
Back to Amadeus and more time to overthink if not careful.
Enjoy your weekend everyone and if you have any spare time reach out to those who you know or think might need a little company to help them through the day.
