River of Flowers

Friday: Malva Sylvestris “Mystic Merlin”

Whilst I was preparing my breakfast, glanced through the kitchen window and saw a young lesser spotted woodpecker in our Cordyline https://www.countryfile.com/wildlife/birds/woodpecker-guide-uk-species-how-to-identify-where-to-see
Not long after a very young baby Blackbird flew into the window, no damage to bird or window - the fledgling was walking along the concrete path trying to work out what to do next, it decided to jump/glide onto a low wall then up the steps and hid in the overgrown flower bed :-)

I moved a few pots around, sprinkled seeds in a few to replace plants which have flowered and died, also moved some pots to the new patch of garden where the roses are next to the steps.

Early rain soon disappeared and we had a warm, 16°C and plenty day.

Watched a few episodes of “Spooks” this evening.

Loads of love and hugs to all my family / Cariad Mawr
