Summer in the city: friendly Friday

The weather was perfect tonight for this week's 'Friendly Friday' with our neighbours. Mike decorated the table with these beautiful lilies. That's my glass with the Chablis (hic!)

All warnings of severe pain and a possible bloodbath appear to have been completely unfounded. If I couldn't see the wound in my mouth, it would be difficult to convince me that the dentist operated on me yesterday. I'm quite sure that I could have ridden my exercise bike, participated in my pilates class, and swum this morning. 

Instead I did walk to the gym and back with Karen - partly to see her, partly to pass a message on to Marc in person, partly to practise walking with my new insoles - then took advantage of the extra time at home to catch up on some gardening. I also spent some time in the kitchen making a courgette and prawn stir-fry for tonight, and a lamb curry and summer pudding for tomorrow with Jon. The latter is packed with raspberries from the prolific canes in our garden.

I have also dipped in and out of the tennis with Mummy hazelh.

Exercise today: gardening and walking (14,864 steps).
