Let's Get This Party Started!

This is the wind-up to a fun weekend with good friends.  Peggy arrived yesterday in time to enjoy some time on the patio before a late dinner of shrimp and veggies.  We started the day with some overnight oats and fresh fruit before Peggy left to see her brilliant "alchemist" who will be giving her magnificent highlights this afternoon.  Expect her back here around 5 ish.  In the meantime, Kura should arrive around 3 and Paul around 4.  Ellen won't be here until tomorrow but we'll get the party warmed up and ready for her.  Hubs has made his own special recipe burgers to put on the grill tonight, along with lots of veggies and a fresh corn salad.  We certainly won't go hungry!

After Peg left this morning for her appointment, I got on a zoom yoga class which has left me feeling very, very good.  Lots of stretching and twisting today along with core and balance - all so important at this age.  Jax is always nearby just to make sure nothing gets me, I guess.  

Only a very brief time outside with a camera today, just long enough to grab a few shots of a hummingbird and a year-first Gold-marked thread-waisted wasp (see Extra).  Very happy to be seeing more solitary wasps now.  

I will get some pics of everyone later and probably add them to Extras tomorrow.  Stay tuned for some silliness.
