Long Tall Sally

Today we drove to see, once again,  the "Roto" pine with  a "shield husk" i.e. the husk consists of shield like pieces. The pine is 18 m long or tall, and is more than 200 years old. It was protected in 1959. It stands only 5 km from our cottage.
