In a homemade pickle.

Cucumber. It is destined to accompany smoked  peppered mackeral and some awesome dark sourdough bread.

Simple fayre but most times that is the best. But not tonight, tonight is the Mexican lasagne purchased at the market yesterday and judging by the quantity of jalapeño it might be spicy. Cold beer on stand by.

Bumper year in the garden, especially black currants and gooseberries. We shared our only strawberry which for reasons unknown have been an abject failure.

Update - the mexican lasagne was nose runninglly spicy.
